Councillor Jackie Dudley

Get involved with Doncaster Matters to help revitalise the city - join the cause, learn about key issues, and take action.

I have lived in South Yorkshire for over 50 years, firstly in Sheffield, then Bessacarr, Bawtry, and finally settling in the beautiful village, (now town) of Tickhill for the past 39 years.

I love Doncaster, and all it has to offer, the shopping, market, racecourse, theatre, restaurants, the minster, surrounding countryside, with it’s great motorway and rail links, and hopefully, the soon to be re-opened airport.

but it’s the people that make a place a home, and the Yorkshire people made me very welcome. I married a Yorkshireman and re located from London in 1982, he would tell me it was God’s own county. After living here over 50 year’s I agree with him.

Since becoming a Reform UK Councillor for Tickhill and Wadworth on 2nd May 2025, and being inaugurated as the Vice Civic Deputy Mayor, and Chair to Council, 2 weeks later, I have had the pleasure of meeting so many residents and people from all walks of life, Firefighter Graduates, Army and Air Cadets, watched war re-enactments, fly pasts, and visited the Buddist Gomde Centre at Hatfield Woodhouse.

Helping residents to resolve their issues has been one of the most rewarding things i have done in my life. I look forward to the challenges of making things better for Doncaster’s residents.
